Glashütte Lamberts, Germany's only production facility for hand-blown flat glass, gives the participant a deep insight into glass production during this one-and-a-half-day seminar and at the same time imparts technical know-how in the field of glass processing and glass design with practical implementation in our workshop.
Basic and technical seminar
Experience glass production at LambertsGlas® and design with hand-blown glass.
The seminar offers the following content:
- theoretical introduction to the production of hand-blown flat glass with explanations of historical use and contemporary design options
- practical implementation of own glass work
- Glass cutting, edge processing and sandblasting technology as well as the flat bonding of glass are taught
- Guided tour of the manufactory and evening in the production hall: be part of the production process up close and look over the shoulders of the glassmakers and smelters at work
- small lunchtime snack on the 1st day included
- dinner together and a cozy get-together between the blazing flames of our furnaces included

10th - 11th October 2024
1st day:
8.30 a.m. - approx. 5.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. - approx. 9.00 p.m.
2nd day:
8.30 a.m. - approx. 12.00 p.m.
max. 10 participants

Organizational notes
The overnight stay is organized by each participant himself. Information on overnight accommodation is available from the Tourist Information Office in Waldsassen and on the website www.waldsassen.de. If you have any questions, we are of course also at your disposal.
